London Eats | Lab Organic

If you're ever in the covent garden area, then I highly recommend popping down to Lab Organic to try out their fantastic juices. Lab Organic is home to a variety of cold press fruit and vegetable juices,, as well as raw food and gluten free snacks. Healthy is the word here and their goal is to help people achieve a healthy living lifestyle through their wide range of healthy recipes.

I popped in to Lab Organic just before heading out to a meeting in central London to try their juices as I've seen a so many good reviews and comments on this little establishment. With so many items to choose from, I ended up going for a chia seed pudding along with a pure green juice. The pure green juice was the highlight of my visit as it was packed full of goodness and health benefits, setting me up for the rest of the day. It contained coconut water, cucumber, spring greens, swiss chard, spinach, romaine, and parsley. It was so refreshing and light, as well as giving me an instant boost, ready for long afternoon meeting.

If you're addicted to juicing like myself and in need of an instant boost, then Lab Organic is definitely one to try out. Although it weighs in on the pricer side of pressed juices, I believe it is worth the price tag for the taste alone.

Chicago | Photo Diary (2) ✈

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was pretty spectacular. BH and I got to the parade just after sunrise on a very cold Thursday 27th November. It was very crowded with people camped out on the pavements, with their blankets at the ready. We stood at the front, giving us the best view of the parade. The atmosphere was something that you just got to experience in person.

We took a trip to the  Field Museum, a much grander museum than the Natural History Museum in London. It was a great way to hide ourselves away from the snow, which on this day, was spectacularly beautiful. It was coming down hard and fast at this point (1 day in to the holiday). We browsed for a good 2-3 hours here, with a free trip to the indoor cinema included. It was a fun little escape from the cold.

I could imagine how beautiful Chicago is in the summer, especially knowing that the city has its own beach. I am really hoping to return one day to experience more of what this city has to offer. But for now, I'd like to avoid any cold cities as Winter really isn't my kind of season.

Chicago | Photo Diary (1) ✈

Myself and BH spent our first Thanksgiving in America during November 2014 and what better way to celebrate this day than to do in style in Chicago. We were definitely not ready for the spine shivering cold that welcomed us during our 8-day trip.

Chicago is a great city! I'd describe it as the sister city to New York, but calmer and more chilled. The highlight of the trip is definitely spending Thanksgiving Day with BH and experiencing the magnificent Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. We ate our way through the holiday, sampling some of Chicago's finest deep pan pizzas and visiting all the iconic buildings and places.

I don't know how we survived -2 degrees conditions on most days, but we managed to power through to enjoy what the city had to offer.

Currently Loving.. | Deliciously Ella

Hello! My very first post on my (last) new blog. I'll like to start with a mini review on one of my favourite cook books. Trust me because this one is a good'un.

As a full-time foodie, I love dinning out and exploring the vast choices of restaurants that London has to offer. However, there are days where I just to want (read: need) to laze around at home, put on my comfiest PJs. watch trashy TV, and enjoy a proper home cooked dinner. A healthy wholesome dinner is always scheduled in for at least three times a week for me and my better half (BH). which generally consist of mainly fresh vegetables to detox the week's worth of naughty-step meals.

I'd say I'm on a intermediate level when it comes to cooking and I generally eat healthy with occasional naughty dinners. I picked up Deliciously Ella in hope for a better eating lifestyle and to discover meat-free dishes that will cleanse my mind, body and soul.

I first stumbled on to Ella's Instagram and I was immediately glued to her amazing love for a healthy foods. She also snaps some of the best food photography, and is soon becoming my favourite Instagrammer.

Price: £20.00 Purchased: Olivia Bonas

This book is pure genius. Who would have thought of making gooey chocolate brownies with Sweet potatoes? of course Ella would. I can't wait to make this recipe as I've just recently bought myself a food processor. I did have the pleasure in making the wonderful Baked Banana, Blueberry and Raison Oatmeal for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious and very, very healthy.

Ella uses plant based ingredients in all her recipes, which will always be full of goodness and great for your body. What I also love about this book is that the recipes are never time consuming unlike most cook books. You can rustle up a dish in less than 30-minutes.

If you want a different and healthy alternative to your favourite breakfast, snacks, lunches or dinner, then Ella will steal your hungry heart with this wonderfully written cook book with an edge.

Thank you for reading!
